Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2011 BeltLine Bike Tour a success!
400 riders including Atlanta city council members Aaron Watson and Yolanda Adrean, Falcons General Manager Thomas Dimitroff and his wife, Charles Brewer, and so many wonderful ABC members and friends participated in the May 7th tour. We had such a fantastic time we’re already looking forward to next year’s tour, with a tentative date of Saturday, May 5, 2012 to again kick off National Bike Month.

Testimonial
My wife and I have each been riding in Atlanta for more than 5 years and by unanimous declaration, we declare that this weekend’s BBT was the most fun we’ve had on two wheels in Atlanta.
Riding through neighborhoods for the first time and savoring the segments of completed Beltline, we began to feel the emotions beltline pioneers have been conveying for years: the Beltline is a potent mix of community, fitness and transit which lifts the soul.
Sean and crew, the leaders of our ride, were impressively coolheaded and upbeat while leading 120 cyclists around the city. Thanks to them.
Thanks and congratulations to ABC and the rest of the ride organizers.
What a glorious day.

About the tour
Presented by Environs Residential, the BeltLine Bike Tour is an annual group ride for Georgians near and far to learn about our city’s scheduled makeover. Anyone can participate. There are short, medium and full-length routes planned to suit all ages and cycling levels.
During the tour you will learn about Atlanta’s historic buildings and architecture, our industrial and railroad heritage, and other landmarks one might otherwise motor past. In conjunction, you will see the proposed urban renewal, all while meeting fellow Atlantans. It’s perfect for building community – which is at the heart of The Atlanta BeltLine.
